We can arrange tours of Coddington Vineyard for groups of 10 to 30 people. If a coach is used, access to the vineyard limits its size to 22 people, but we have parking space for up to 12 cars.

The tour can begin in our gardens, or we can go directly to the vineyard and winery.

The gardens are cottage garden in style, and there are a wide range of plants that allow colour well into the autumn.

The plants particularly include collections of  day lilies, agapanthus, kniphophia, rudbeckia, echinacia and sunflowers.

The woodland is underplanted with spring bulbs and hellebores, with woodland shrubs and hydrangias in the semishaded periphery.

The stream is fed from the pond. A gingko, oak, arbutus and persica give shade to  the massed ferns, astilibe, hemerocallis, ligularia, rodgersia and hostas.

The small meadow beside the stream has narcissi and fritillaries in the spring, and a variety of wildflowers in the summer.

In the vineyard we explain the work that is done through the year, before entering the winery to discuss harvest and wine making. The modern winery, with its stainless steel equipment, includes a one ton pneumatic press, earth filter and cold stabilisation units and top quality steel vats.

Discussion of the vineyard year and winemaking can be as brief or as detailed as you wish.

The wine tasting takes place on the terrace below our shop. We taste all available wines, accompanied by cheese and biscuits.

The cost of the tour is £4 per person.

Although we are happy to organise tours through the year, they are probably most enjoyable when taken in the summer months.
